Glad it's next to San Pedro Market, atmosphere is relaxed and enjoiable. I had the Boston chowder and it was sooooo... fresh and filling. Then proceeded with the Crab Tostaditas, all they need is a lil jalapeño. The main course consisted of a buttery, toasted, melt in your mouth Connecticut Lobster Roll. Just wish they had better silverware and didn't serve the chowder in a compostable bowl 🙁read more

We had ordered 4 items in 3 different orders, 2 Maine lobster rolls, 1 lobster melt, and the last order was a... Connecticut lobster roll, all with fries instead of chips. Melt and Maine rolls came out and were fine, but had chips instead of fries. We asked for the fries and they looked a little confused then decided to just bring us fries. The melt was good. The Maine rolls were very sauce heavy and didn’t leave much room for lobster flavor. After about 20 minutes we had to ask for the Connecticut roll and they said “oh yes it’ll be out in about 5 minutes”. About 5 minutes later they brought a tray over and said “here are your fish and chips!” We had to clarify that we didn’t order fish and chips, we ordered a Connecticut roll. They then brought another server out and they began to argue that there was no Connecticut roll on the order list. So I went in to clarify since I had paid $30 for a roll I waited 30 extra minutes for, to be told that “oh we still can’t find the order but we found one just sitting here. Do you want that one?”. So essentially my lobster roll had been sitting there for no reason. It was meh. Pretty disappointed.read more

We went a couple of weeks ago. They only had one cook working, so we had to wait a long time for our food. They messed... up my kids order, bringing them grilled cheese instead of quesadillas. Then the quesadillas were very greasy. Scotts Seafood Restaurant is next door and claim they have nothing to do with the Chowder house.read more

I have to be honest, I expected a bit more I guess for the price and others input, I mean it was good I guess I just... felt as though it could have been great and wasn't. I had the lobster melt. I think I'd try the lemon garlic version next time but again not disappointed and I'll likely go back.
